A general knowledge quiz night is held in September of each year in support of a local charity. This year, our annual quiz will be on Thursday September 22nd at Conkers (Waterside Centre) - proceeds raised will support ‘Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group’ - a charity which supports the research into T Cell Non Hodgkin Lymphoma & Clic Sargent - a charity that arranges special days out for children who are ill.
Businesses are invited to enter teams of four and a prestigious raffle will be held with the support of business donations and there is an opportunity to win the coveted Sence Accounting shield and become annual champions!

Sence Accounting have supported the 6th Form Skills for Success Conference. Students take on board a range of real-life workplace challenges which involve team work, decision making, communication and time-keeping used in any common workplace.
Sarah Beggan, Business Development Manager at Sence, says "This was a valuable three days of my working week, being able to coach and question why students are making certain decisions and demonstrating my experience to them in the finance sector over the last 27 years. Some students lack confidence and this type of event encourages students to move out of their comfort zones."
We are delighted to help out each year with the careers evening in November where students need to start considering their future career choice. As accountants, we can advise on the different career paths and the many qualifications available. We encourage students to ask questions about business and also welcome questions about our own career paths.
Derbyshire Leicestershire Rutland Air Ambulance - Sence Accounting raise over £2000 for charity
The 2014 annual general knowledge quiz evening was held at CONKERS, the award winning attraction at The Heart of the National Forest.
The DLRAA (Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance Service) were selected as the chosen charity for the event and Sence asked local businesses for their support by entering a team, sponsoring a round, all at the cost of £50.
Our main sponsors for the event were Fishers Solicitors in Ashby and Bleathwood IFA, also of Ashby.
The evening was a great success with a large raffle with over 30 prizes and a stand up bingo to add a bit of fun! Sence are pleased to announce the total amount raised exceeded £2000.00.
Keen Edge Training and Development (Keen Edge Training) won last year's coveted shield beating Academic Solutions (Academic Blue Noses) in a tie break, closely followed by John Coxon's team of 'Cocko's Angels'!
If anyone would like information on how to support the DLRAA please contact Sarah on 01530 267320.
